Docks
Fixed Pier - Coastal Marine can help install your fixed pier dock, where we will drive piers into the seabed and then affix the dock to those piers. These docks are a very solid and reliable option for your New Jersey coastal home.
Floating Docks - Another option when it comes to installing a dock on your New Jersey shoreline property is floating docks. Floating docks are typically made from a variety of plastic materials and are air-tight pontoons that sit on top of the water. One major benefit of this type of dock is that it follows the tide, meaning it will rise and fall with the tide. They are similar to stationary docks in that they do get anchored to the sea bed. Let Coastal Marine help you decide which type of dock would be best for your project.
Boat Lifts
Boat lifts are great for so many reasons. And if you have a coastline property and own a watercraft you will most likely want a boat lift to get your boat out of the water when you aren’t using it. Boat lifts are great protection against mother nature and the elements, specifically your boat won’t be sitting in the water with the potential to knock into or rub against your dock. Lifting your boat out of the water when it isn’t in use will prolong the life of your boat and lower the maintenance needed on the hull or exterior of your boat.
There are many different types of boat lifts, let Coastal Marine walk you through each of your options to ensure you are getting exactly what you are looking for and in your budget.
Bulkheads and Retaining Walls
If you are looking for the best way to protect your southern New Jersey waterfront property either commercial or residential, adding a bulkhead or retaining wall is going to be your best option. It is also the best way to add water access to your property, by adding a dock or boat lift.
There are a few different materials that can be used when installing a bulkhead or retaining wall, and we can help walk you through the benefits to each and which one will be best for your project.
Breakwaters
The main goal of a breakwater is to protect a harbor, marina, beach from incoming crashing waves. Breakwaters are built parallel to the land to aid in that protection. Typically large stones or boulders are used in the construction of breakwater structures. Similar in function to Bulkheads or retaining walls, to protect land, they are different in the construction aspect. Bulkheads and retaining walls are built directly up against the coastline, where breakwater structures are built a distance from the shoreline to protect the land.
